presidential candidates have to say about America’s founding ideals of equality, rights, liberty,
opportunity, and democracy?
Take notes using this worksheet on what Barak Obama and Mitt Romney say that relates to the
founding ideals (They may not use the words but they will talk about ideas related to
them)
Afterward
write a reflection (on the back of the worksheet) highlighting what you think are
the most important statements made by the candidates concerning these 5 ideals.
